The tallest residential building in the world, Central Park Tower (CPT), has just topped out. Standing 1,550ft it would be the largest building in NYC if it weren't for the Freedom Tower's 400-foot spire. CPT (217 West 57th) will be the home to 179 luxury condos and the Nordstrom flagship store. The tower is planned to be the most expensive sellout ever at an anticipated $4-billion. Some of the residences were listed for the first time in May, ranging from a $6.9 million two-bedroom to a five-bedroom apartment for $63 million. In 2017, it was reported that 20 of the 179 units will ask for $60 million and above, including a penthouse for $95 million. It will be a tough hurdle seeing where we are at in the real estate market here in New York, especially for the super luxury. Nearly 40% of new units in the Central Park South area are unsold.
The worlds soon-to-be-tallest building The Jeddah Tower in Saudi Arabia will stand 3,280ft tall. Twice the size! It will be home to the world’s highest observatory. Check out these super cool 10-facts and renderings. One of them being that the building will have 59 elevators. Yes no typo ----> 59. Crazy. If you are afraid of heights... Just sayin.
