The drama surrounding 200 Amsterdam seems to never end. State Supreme Court Judge W. Franc Perry ordered the city to revoke 200 Amsterdam Avenue‘s building permit. He demands the building remove the upper floors to comply with the zoning limits. This could be as much as 20 floors and have major impacts starting with the potential default of its construction loan. The developers argue that the judge’s ruling contradicted previous decisions by the Department of Buildings and the Board of Standards and Appeals, and said they will appeal. 200 Amsterdam was set to stand 52 stories making it the tallest building in the UWS north of 61st Street. I don't think the bank is going anywhere anytime soon. How many floors do you think they'll have to come down? My guess is zero.
