For those of you that haven't heard, Gov Cuomo has announced a 4-phase reopening plan for New York with real estate part of phase 2, but a “long time” before downstate will be ready. Each phase will have to meet seven different requirements, including a 14-day decline in hospitalizations, or fewer than 15 hospitalizations per day; and a 14-day drop in coronavirus-related hospital deaths, or fewer than five deaths per day. As of Monday May 4th, New York City only met three of the seven metrics, including the decline in hospitalizations and virus-related deaths.
Phase 1: Construction and manufacturing businesses
Phase 2: Real estate, retail, finance, insurance, administrative support, and professional services
Phase 3: Restaurants and hotels
Phase 4: Education, arts, entertainment other forms of recreation
